Community Impact

Empowering and Supporting

Bunge’s goal as a company is to leave a positive mark on the communities where we operate, not just through products that feed the world, but volunteering and investment that expresses our purpose through action.

We focus on the promotion of the economic, social and climate resilience of communities by empowering and supporting renowned partners and non-profit organizations around the world.

Guided by a Global Contributions Policy, we provide financial support or in-kind gifts to organizations whose missions or activities align with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a priority focus on Zero Hunger and Quality Education.

Corporate Donations

In 2022, Bunge invested over US $10M million to support communities in which we have a business presence, more than doubling the amount donated in 2021. From this total, approximately US $5 million was dedicated to support relief efforts in Ukraine, where Bunge has a facility and a dedicated workforce.

Our Volunteers

Bunge teams around the globe have a long history of giving back to their local communities. Food security has been top-of-mind as global conflicts and climate change further reinforced the need to address hunger at the community level. Given these significant challenges, Bunge’s efforts have taken an increased focus on addressing food security issues.

For the second consecutive year, Bunge teams around the globe joined forces for World Food Day, giving back to the communities where we live and work. In 2023, our Global Volunteering Program doubled in size. More than 1,200 volunteers in 25 countries and more than 85 cities dedicated time to support over 95 food banks and local organizations focused on promoting nutrition education, addressing hunger and ensuring food access. Our volunteers helped sort and pack food for children, seniors and families, prepared meals for communities and delivered nutritious foods to people in need.  Watch the video to learn more about our global volunteer event and our impact in communities where we operate.
