At Fi Europe 2019, Bunge Loders Croklaan unveiled Betapol Plus, the next generation of premium quality OPO lipids for infant formula. Its the most advanced OPO product of its kind and delivers on our promise to provide the best alternative for mothers unable to breastfeed. With Betapol Plus, we set a new industry standard by matching the fat composition of mothers milk closer than any other manufacturer. As a result, Betapol Plus was awarded the Fi Europe 2019 Innovation Award for functional innovation.

As a leader in nutrition innovation, we pioneered the development of OPO with the invention of Betapol 30 years ago. OPO is a uniquely structured lipid, which is naturally present in mothers milk. The new Betapol Plus for infant formula offers a 60% OPO level, up to 50% higher than current products.
