Every year, thousands of farmers deliver grain to Bunge sites across southern Australia. To help receive, classify and store that grain safely and efficiently, we recruit around 1,500 harvest employees each season.

Site groups

To ensure we provide an efficient and flexible service for our farmer customers and create more work opportunities for our employees, we operate our sites in groups. As part of the application process you will be asked to select the site groups you would like to work in.

Bring a friend and boost your summer together

A harvest job is a great way to meet new people, and it’s also a great place to bring a friend along, particularly for those who are travelling.

If you are referring a friend to work the harvest with us include their name, or the name of the person who referred you, in your application. If you are both successful in securing a role, you could each win one of 16 × $150 vouchers to spend locally in the region you’re working in.

 

Frequently asked questions

No previous experience is needed to work the harvest with Bunge. Full training is provided before you commence work.

Most harvest roles run between October and January, depending on seasonal conditions and location. There are opportunities to start earlier and finish later.

Yes. Some roles may contribute towards eligibility for a second-year Working Holiday Visa.

Employees arrange their own accommodation staying in hotels, motels, caravans, camping sites or Airbnbs. Applicants are required to organise their own accommodation and transport however, subject to availability we may be able to assist with accommodation at some locations. Your accommodation requirements will be discussed during the recruitment process. 

Yes. Many permanent employees started with Bunge as harvest workers. 

Exact pay depends on the site and role you do. All roles are paid in line with the applicable Enterprise Agreement/award rates.
